Cultural Connections

Cultural Connections gives all students the opportunity to share information concerning our various diverse and distinct cultures and heritages. You will have a chance to research, plan, and present cultural, educational, and historical projects, such as:

  • Culture Shock lecture and event series
  • For Colored Girls leadership and experience worksops
  • Open Mic nights
  • Culture Week
  • Plays and performances
  • Cajun Luau
  • Educational forums

Many of our events are driven by ideas we receive from our student body. UPC's Culture Committee strives to enlighten both the campus and the community and to respect and appreciate the diverse cultures and perspectives that our part of our community. Meetings are normally held in UPC's conference Room in Student Union 157 (our office), every other Tuesday at 5:00 pm. Specific dates and times for the fall semester will be posted soon!
