What We Do
The University Program Council (UPC) is the premiere programming organization at UL Lafayette. UPC produces inclusive professional programming for the students, by the students. By providing unique involvement opportunities, we create the unforgettable moments of your Ragin’ Cajun experience.
UPC plans dozens of campus events, including pool parties, pajama bowling, film screenings, and much more! UPC also produces many of the university’s proudest traditions, from Homecoming Week to Lagniappe Day, the Miss UL pageant to the Krewe of Roux Mardi Gras Parade, just to name a few!
Being a part of UPC offers students opportunities to participate in leadership and organizational experiences, and to a have a great time doing it! Through our numerous programs, students learn to plan events for the entire campus to enjoy. We're the best in campus entertainment, traditions, culture, and spirit - for students, by students.
UPC is made up of five committees that plan student activities on campus:
Each committee manages a different part of the university’s Ragin’ Cajun experience, but all work together to highlight the experience of being a part of UL Lafayette!
During the semester (beginning August 28), we meet every other Tuesday at 5:00 pm in the Helma Constantine Forum, Student Union, Second Floor, Room 290. Membership meetings are open to all students. To become an active member of UPC, stop by our office in Room 157 on the first floor of the Student Union, call us at 337-482-6945, or e-mail at email@example.com to confirm meeting days and times for the committees you are interested in joining. Grab a friend or three and come join the fun!
