Help keep UL Lafayette’s traditions alive and exciting by participating in the UPC Traditions Committee! Our committee organizes events throughout the year. The summer and fall semesters are filled with planning and organizing the events surrounding Homecoming Week (this year's theme is Homecoming, Sweet Homecoming), but the fun doesn’t end there. During the spring semester, the Traditions Committee plans our Lafayette Mardi Gras parade, Krewe of Roux. This hard working committee also plans the university’s greatest tradition - Lagniappe Day! It’s the biggest crawfish boil of the year, with over 15,000 pounds of crawfish (allons manger, y'all!), live bands, games, and much, much more! The annual Lagniappe Festival guarantees you will pass a good time!!!
Meetings are held in Room 157 of the Student Union (in the UPC Office) every other Tuesday at 4:00 pm, starting Sep. 12.
