Miss UL 2015 crowned at annual pageant

The 14th annual Miss University of Louisiana at Lafayette USA Pageant was held last Thursday in the student union ballroom. Eleven contestants competed for the crown and the right to move forward to the Miss Louisiana USA pageant later this year. Miss Krista Toussant, a senior from Zachary, Louisiana, was crowned Miss UL Lafayette and won the swimsuit category of the competition. Toussant was crowned Miss Baton Rouge in 2014 and placed in the top 15 at the 2014 Miss Louisiana USA pageant.

This is the first year that the pageant has been recognized as an official preliminary to the Miss Louisiana USA pageant.

Miss University of Louisiana at Lafayette USA: Krista Toussant, a senior, from Zachary, Louisiana. majoring in marketing.
First runner-up: Jenna Griffin, a sophomore from Baton Rouge, majoring in marketing.
Second runner-up: Rachel North, a senior from Alexandria, majoring in exercise science.
Third runner-up: Ellen Boudreaux, a junior from new Iberia, majoring in dietetics.
Fourth runner-up: Angelle Manshack, a senior from Iota, Louisiana, majoring in liberal arts.

Evening gown: Jenna Griffin
