University Traditions

Help keep UL Lafayette’s traditions alive and exciting by participating events put on by the University Traditions Board.

Our board organizes events throughout the year. We are currently working hard planning and organizing the events surrounding Homecoming Week, but the fun doesn’t end there. During the spring semester, the Traditions Committee plans our Krewe of Roux Mardi Gras parade and ball, This active and energetic committee also plans the University’s greatest tradition - Lagniappe Day! It’s the biggest crawfish boil of the year, with over 18,000 pounds of crawfish (allons manger, y'all!), music, games, and much, much more! Lagniappe Day guarantees you will pass a good time!!!
