About Us

Are you interested in getting involved with a student organization on campus and helping plan the biggest university events? The University Program Council (UPC) is the organization for you! UPC plans dozens of campus events, including pool parties, pajama bowling, film screenings, and much more! UPC also produces many of the university’s proudest traditions, from Homecoming Week to Lagniappe Day, the Miss UL pageant to the Krewe of Roux Mardi Gras Parade, just to name a few!

By being a part of UPC, you will have the opportunity to be to participate in leadership and organizational experiences as an event planner, and be an important part of an amazing group! The University Program Council is made up of five committees (Culture, Entertainment, Spirit, Traditions, Marketing) that plan student activities on campus.

To become an active member, stop by the UPC office on the first floor of the Student Union in Room 157, e-mail us at upc@louisiana.edu, or call us at (337) 482-6945 to find out the meeting days and times of the committees you want to join. Then grab a friend and come join the fun!
