Ragin' Cajun Memories

Traditions are the driving force in creating a university's distinct identity—they shape the shared college memories that alumni bond over.

UPC leads many of UL Lafayette's most cherished traditions via student committees that are as eclectic as the student body is, because everyone is part of UPC.

What We Do

The University Program Center (UPC) is the premiere programmig center at UL Lafayette. It consists of three self governing boards: Cultural Connections, Student Activities, and University Traditions. UPC These boards produce inclusive professional programming for the students, by the students. By providing unique involvement opportunities, we give students the opportunity to create unforgettable moments in your Ragin’ Cajun experience.

UPC students plan dozens of campus events, including pool parties, Late Night Bowling, Movie Madness, and much more! UPC also produces many of the University’s proudest traditions, from Homecoming Week to Lagniappe Day, the Miss UL Lafayette pageant to the Krewe of Roux Mardi Gras Ball, just to name a few!

Being a part of UPC offers our students opportunities to participate in leadership, project management, and organizational experiences, and to a have a great time doing it! Through our numerous programs, students learn to plan events for the entire campus to enjoy. We're the best in campus entertainment, traditions, culture, and spirit - for students, by students.
