Spring Game Book Drive

The University Program Council (UPC) and the Student Leadership Council (SLC) invites you out to Cajun Field on Saturday, April 12th to join us in a children’s book drive which will benefit young children attending a literacy day event during the fall 2014 semester as well as schools in the surrounding area which are in need of children's books. The University Program Council (UPC) has teamed up with the Student Leadership Council (SLC) as well as the Athletic Department and Sodexo to support our Ragin’ Cajuns football team as they prepare for the upcoming season in the spring game at 12:00 p.m. as well as women’s softball game at 2:00 p.m. and men’s baseball game at 6:00 p.m.

We are encouraging students, organizations, faculty, staff, departments and the community to participate in this amazing program. Please bring new or gently used children books which you can drop off upon entrance to the spring game near Gate E on the student tailgating side from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Students that make donations will receive coupons and vouchers for food/drinks at the concession stand and on campus locations. Please support our endeavors to spread the joy of reading to future generations while supporting our Ragin' Cajuns as we look forward to a great football season and continue our great softball and baseball seasons!
